Ade's Diary - August 2015

Time has flown and summer's almost over, but we're ending with a bang!

Me with Britt Bradley and Ohwawa Me with Britt Bradley and Ohwawa

This month began and ends with New York. I spent the beginning of August in New York for the Curve NY tradeshow. It was the first time that I'd done a show on my own, so I was quite nervous. Set up as a one-woman band was a bit daunting, but I got there in the end! The atmosphere was great, and I had two amazing models on the stand Ohwawa and Britt Bradley. They did an amazing job of showing off our goods, and keeping me company :) I had lots of great meetings, and I'm so excited for what's to come! I can't reveal much now - though we did get our first New York city stockist! More on that later - but expect to see more growth in the US and some exciting new projects.
Nubian Skin in Nordstrom
Last month ended with our launch in-store at Nordstrom, the response has been great, and they have been a dream to work with. The lingerie team has been incredibly supportive of the brand, and they featured Nubian Skin on their home page with a #beyondbeige campaign!!! I still get such a buzz seeing our brand on the Nordstrom page :)

I mentioned earlier that Nubian Skin has its first New York City stockist!  We are now stocked at Bra Tenders on Ninth Avenue at 44th Street!  They are fit specialists, so book an appointment and go pick up your Nubian Skin bra!  New York has been a showing us lots of love, so we're happy to bring it closer to home for all of our customers and fans there.

The next exciting thing as we move into Autumn is some major hosiery updates! We'll be launching our hosiery on ASOS and in-store at select House of Fraser locations!! I can't wait for women of colour in the UK to be able to walk into a high street department store and pick up a pair of tights that actually works for them!

I remain incredibly grateful for all the support Nubian Skin receives. The love and encouragement from our supporters really makes all the hard work worth it.

Till next time xx
