What an incredible month November was.
I'm still processing the fact that I won the Great British Entrepreneur Awards - Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year award. I honestly wasn't expecting it, and though I'm grinning in the picture above, I really felt like the image below. I feel so honoured and grateful, I was and still remain at a loss for words.
This month has been an absolute whirlwind. We were featured in Ebony Magazine, XONecole, Essence Magazine online, Buzzfeed and Dazed Magazine. We were included in an amazing BuzzFeed video, and we had an amazing time shooting our Curve Hosiery shoot, basically it's been madness.
In the midst of all this, we also decided to move office and bring our warehousing in-house. So, I've learned a few things. Chief among them being how to use a pallet truck.
I can't thank my amazing team, friends, family and loved ones enough for all their support and help, because without them, an empty room wouldn't have been transformed into a functioning warehouse in a matter of days. Basically I feel like the most fortunate girl alive. It's been so incredibly rough, and amazingly wonderful at the same time. No grey hairs yet...keeping my fingers crossed on that one.
I'm super proud to be launching our series of skin and healthcare blog posts in collaboration with a super woman friend of mine from Duke University, Crystal Aguh. Crystal is an assistant professor of Dermatology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine - Basically she is a super star! Watch out on the blog as she dishes out advice on everything from exfoliating for women of colour, the importance of sunscreen and hair. This month's feature is on keeping your skin healthy in the winter.
Now, Christmas is right around the corner, and I'm getting in the Spirit reading Christmas stories and opening up my Liberty Advent Calendar each morning :) :) :) December has kicked off in full force, and it's already looking like the late nights of November will continue, but I'm super excited because we have so much in store, which we'll be sharing with you soon.
