This week I’ve decided to review the AVEDA Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo. It has been recommended for use on damaged hair that needs to be repaired from chemical processes, heat styling or even environmental exposure. My hair loves an extra bit of attention, so I thought I’d give it a try!
“Our gentle daily shampoo helps repair damage with quinoa protein, while nurturing with rich coconut and babassu-lending new life to hair.”
I really hate shampoos that make your hair feel dry and tangled when massaging in shampoo, this seems to be a common issue if you don't choose your shampoo carefully! The AVEDA shampoo, however, is soft and ‘nurturing’. As soon as it is applied to the hair it softens and feels luxurious. On top of that it smells glorious, and the whole bathroom ends up smelling like a spa! The babassu and coconut-based cleansing formula is kind to damaged hair (and smells incred), whilst the quinoa protein helps to strengthen the hair from the inside out. On top of that, it’s sulphate free, meaning that it’s hair-friendly and OK to use it if you’ve had a KeraStraight treatment. I’d highly recommend this shampoo for use with one of the AVEDA conditioning treatments – it really does make a difference and leaves your hair feeling soft, loved and smelling great!
