How to Squeeze Fitness into Your Day: Four Fab Tips

Keeping fit can sometimes seem a bit of a bore, but 30 minutes of increased heart rate exercise a day can not only improve your body’s health, but also your mental well-being! We totally appreciate that sometimes it can be hard to find the time, so we’ve thought up our top 4 tips on how to fit some extra exercise into your day:

1. CHANGE YOUR ROUTE TO WORK...

Jumping off the train a stop or two early and walking or jogging the rest of the way is a great way to slip fitness into your daily routine! You may even save some money – #winning! If that’s not an option, hopping on your bike is another great way to get your heart pumping.

2. AVOID THE GYM...

An odd tip in a post about exercise, but I believe going to the gym can sometimes be a little intimidating and also if it’s not on your doorstep then it isn’t that easy to simply slip into your day (and very easy to make up an excuse about why we shouldn't go!). Instead, choose an easily accessible activity such as walking, jogging or cycling with a friend after work. Experiment with different routes and explore your local area (definitely beats running in the same spot for 20 minutes looking at a wall!) It’s a great way to unwind before chilling out and putting your tired feet up for the evening.

3. WAKE UP 30 MINUTES EARLIER...

Doesn’t sound nice at all, I know, we all love to keep warm in our cosy beds in the morning! But wake up just 30 minutes earlier for some YouTube Yoga or Pilates. We recommend the video below - you’ll be feeling strong and set for the day!

4. PUT ON YOUR FAVOURITE ALBUM...!!

The most feel-good way to get your heart pumping is through dancing. Find your favorite album, turn it up and get on down! Apparently, hearing some of your favorite tunes releases the feel-good reward chemical dopamine in the brain. Spend 30 minutes boogieing to some top tunes and we guarantee you’ll be feeling fab!
