Nubian Skin, the pioneering lingerie brand that created nude lingerie and hosiery for women of colour in 2014, and D.Bleu.Dazzled, known for its crystallised hosiery, lingerie and performance wear have created a collection of dazzled lingerie for women of all skin-tones.
The two brands presented their dazzled collaboration at London Fashion week at the Sanderson Hotel with a dazzling soiree with cocktails, canapés and performances by models and dancers in D.Bleu.Dazzled X Nubian Skin outfits. The evening also saw the debut of Nubian Skin’s new shoe collection and staples from D.Bleu.Dazzled line.
The founders of the brands, Ade Hassan and Destiney Bleu connected when they realised both their brands were being used on the TV show Empire and on Beyoncé’s formation tour due to the variety of skin-tones the brands offered. Realising how much they had in common and a mutual admiration for each others work, a friendship quickly blossomed. After a brief meeting in LA, and hashing out ideas, the pair decided to collaborate. Plenty of LA - London calls and Skype sessions, a manic photoshoot in New York, and the D.Bleu.Dazzled X Nubian Skin collection was born.
Nubian Skin, was founded by Ade Hassan and launched in 2014 with a collection of nude lingerie and hosiery for women of colour. The brand has been worn by models and celebrities including Jourdan Dunn and Beyoncé.
D.Bleu.Dazzled, was founded by Destiney Bleu and is known for its dazzled lingerie, hosiery and performance wear. The brand was recently featured on Kate Upton in Sports Illustrated and counts Beyoncé and Kendall Jenner as clients.
