Top Tips for Thriving in Winter

Top Tips for Thriving in Winter
As the days grow shorter and the nights longer, it's time for us to prepare for the winter months. I generally dread the onset of winter with the rain and the early nights.  This year, I'm trying to work with it as opposed to against it.  Here are my top tips for embracing winter. I may love the sun, but it's important to feel confident and comfortable in every season.

1. Layers!  Starting with Luxurious Lingerie:
The key to staying cosy in the cold is layering, and that starts with your lingerie. Our Cotton Wireless Bra is of course designed to match your beautiful complexion, but it is also incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect foundation for any outfit. We're all busy, whether it's the school run, heading to the office, walking, hopping on a bus, or train or even the car, going in an out of heating, means it's tricky to find the right balance in what temperature to dress for.  I advise thermal or cotton base layers over your Nubian Skin, then a gorgeous cardigan or jumper, followed by a mid-weight coat.  Don't forget your umbrella!

2. Hydrate Your Skin:
Winter's dry air can take a toll on your skin. Melanin goes a long way to helping us keep our skin looking youthful, but we can't underestimate the importance of a robust skincare routine. Invest in a good moisturiser and keep your skin glowing, no matter how frosty it gets. I also find a Skin Oil helps me keep a radiant glow even in the depths of winter. Make sure to keep your skin feeling as radiant as your lingerie.

3. Play with Seasonal Colours:
Dark and cold weather doesn't mean you have to stick to a dull palette. Choose rich, deep colours that complement your complexion and brighten your mood. Earthy tones, deep greens, and regal purples can add a touch of warmth to your winter wardrobe. I love the Naked Camisole under a bright blazer like this one.

4. Embrace Cosiness:
What's not to love about accessorising and surrounding yourself with warmth.  Cocoon yourself in warm wool coats, plush scarves and gun gloves. For evenings at home, make sure you have an extra warm blanket to snuggle with, light some heavenly scented candles and create an inviting winter atmosphere.

5. Head Outside:
I know it's counter-intuitive, but we all need fresh air.  Even if it's just for a 10 minute walk, get outside and stretch your legs - you'll probably be tempted to stay out a little longer. As we head into the festive season, you'll likely be treated with lights and Christmas decorations.

6. Prioritize Self-Care:
Amidst the hustle and bustle of our daily lives and the beginning of the holiday season, don't forget to make time for self-care. Take long baths, practice yoga, and meditate to maintain your inner balance.

It may be cold, but Winter presents a unique opportunity for us to slow down and take care of ourselves physically and mentally.
